It is Au revoir but not goodbye to this year’s Rotary 5 Valleys Fireworks.
The Rotary Clubs of Stonehouse, Stroud and Nailsworth, with a heavy heart, have cancelled this year’s 5 Valleys Fireworks in the face of the current COVID-19 pandemic with a second wave likely this autumn.
With the safety of our loyal crowd in mind whilst also appreciating the financial impact upon the many local businesses that would normally sponsor the event we felt it was only right to cancel this year’s event.
This ever-popular, family friendly charity event has raised over a quarter million pounds in just under thirty continuous years for local charities and good causes and we are very mindful of the impact this has on them too.
However, it is only Au revoir as the Rotary 5 Valleys Firework committee are already busy developing a bigger and better Firework event for 2021. We will be back!
