Rotary 5 Valleys Fireworks Returns!

An Unmissable Night of Dazzling Displays and Family Fun in Stroud

Prepare for an unforgettable evening as the Rotary 5 Valleys Fireworks light up Stroud once again! With a proud heritage stretching back over 60 years—originating at Ebley Children’s Home and  lovingly expanded by the Rotary Clubs of Stroud, Stonehouse, and Nailsworth — this event is the highlight of the local calendar.

Taking place at Marling School Playing Fields, Cainscross Road, Stroud the gates open at 6pm on Monday 27th October inviting families and friends for a night bursting with excitement. The  entrepiece: a breathtaking 20-minute fireworks display expertly choreographed to music by Star Fireworks, former British Firework Champions of Champions. The display kicks off around 8pm,  promising awe and wonder for all ages.

But that’s not all — enjoy classic thrills at John Coneley’s Funfair, feast on delicious food and non-alcoholic drinks, and let the little ones be captivated free by renowned Southwest Punch &  J Judy man, John Harvey, providing magical entertainment for under 12s.

Tickets are £15 (adults) and £8 (under 12s) at the gate, but savvy visitors can grab substantial savings by purchasing in advance: just £10 for adults and £5 for under 12s at  by clicking here.

Remember, gates close at 9:30pm, so arrive early to soak up every moment! Every ticket supports local charities and good causes across the Stroud 5 Valleys with at least 50% going towards young people – a nod to the event origins.

Don’t miss your chance to be part of a Stroud tradition and create sparkling memories with your loved ones at the Rotary 5 Valleys Fireworks!

FVF Supporting more good causes

As you are aware the profits from the event remain within the Stroud 5 Valleys supporting local charities and good causes. Some of the Charities supported this year by Rotary 5 Valleys Fireworks include, Explorer Scouts, Allsorts, Gloucestershire Young Carers, Nailsworth Youth Fund, The Shrubberies School with the Apperley Centre, Home Start, and the Macular Society.

The 3 Rotary Clubs have also joined together to support Stroud District Food Bank in the lead up to and through the Christmas period. We are donating £1500 worth of food, toiletries, feminine hygiene and baby products. A National charity has agreed to match fund our £1500 raised through the fireworks. Tesco’s Stroud’s Community Representative, Lucy Daniels, has also come on board and will with the Tesco’s Express stores locally donate a further £500 worth of goods, which Tesco’s will help pick and deliver. So, a whopping £3500 of support for the Stroud District Food Bank this year thanks to your kind sponsorship at a time we all know demand is going to be high with energy prices recently going up 10% and swathes of senior citizens losing their winter fuel allowance. For some the decision can sadly be to eat or heat.

Lost Property

During the show on 28th October a small distinctive purse containing cash in two currencies was handed in.  If you think it may have been yours, please contact info@fivevalleysfireworks.org.uk  with a description of the purse and details of the cash.

A great family night out

The Rotary Clubs of Stroud, Stonehouse and Nailsworth are once again organising the largest
professional Charity Firework event across the Five Valleys and beyond.
Rotary have organised this ever-popular, family friendly charity event for 30 years. The amazing
firework display is designed and choreographed to music by previous British firework champions of champions, Star Fireworks.

Attractions also include the locally based John Coneley’s Fun Fair, a variety of food and drinks and this year the under 12’s will be entertained free of charge by the renowned Southwest Punch & Judy and balloon bending entertainer John Harvey prior to the firework display.
Advanced tickets are only £10 and £5 for under 12’s, offering a 20% saving on the gate entry price of £12  and £6 for under 12’s. You can purchase your advanced tickets online. In these Covid times we prefer payment at the gate by debit or credit card although a cash desk will be available.

All profits go to support local good causes and charities with at least half the profits directed
towards young people in acknowledgement that the event originally started over 60 years ago at
Ebley Children’s Home. This year’s event will support The Door Youth Project; Gloucestershire
Young Carers; Maidenhill School; The Marah Trust; Nailsworth Youth Club; Nailsworth Rotary
Community Fund; The Shrubberies School; Stroud District Foodbank; Stroud Rotary Community
Awards; Stroud Winter Response Programme and the Sunflower Suicide Support Group.

We are grateful to all the local businesses who sponsor the event without whose support the
event would not be possible. Interested in sponsoring the event? The benefits of a £100 standard
sponsorship package are having your business advertised on Rotary 5 Valleys Fireworks website,
your business banner displayed in front of the large crowd and 4 complimentary tickets to the
event.
